She's your Bass Drum Dealer & she always delivers
Anna Lunoe is a woman of many talents in the music business and bouncing to the top. Working to achieve the American dream by way of Australia, producing, writing, and DJ'ing. Catch this hopping, fashionable Aussie at the function jumping around, whipping her shoulder length brown hair most likely rocking knee pads, a dress, and Adidas when performing because she's diving hard into the scene. Her electronic sound sounds like dirty, grimy beats with a mix of house-y rhythms that blends into a unique electronic sound with a heavy bass that is not common to what you'll currently hear. She is proud of being different, the alternative. Even more prouder to bring it to the main stages and festivals. She had a last minute surprise set at Hard Summer 2016 where she was able to adopt new fans. Lunoe recently became the first solo female DJ to play the EDC's main stage, Kinetic Field, along with Alison Wonderland, who is from the same native land of Australia, also played this year as well. (Krewella, formerly two females and male trio played the mainstage in 2014). Anna even sometimes lends her own vocals on her tracks like "Bass Drum Dealer" and her newest track that was highly anticipated after teasing it in her sets for almost a year, "Radioactive" and was released on Skrillex's own label, Owsla. Lunoe met Skrillex at Coachella in 2014, where she had an early Sunday set at the Sahara tent, through another badass female DJ, Nina Las Vegas. The OWSLA label owner and producer got to hear Lunoe's unreleased track, "Bass Drum Dealer" and helped her out on the production of it and gave his own twist to it.
Fast forward 2 years and Lunoe is building her own brand larger with her weekly Hyperhouse radio podcast on Apple's, Beats 1, station that is broadcast worldwide every Friday night. Her Hyperhouse radio is something she's been curating weekly for a while now, playing music, spotlighting producers she discovers and giving the public a chance to hear it. When Zane Lowe from Apple's "Beats 1" radio station was putting together new shows for the worldwide station, he approached Lunoe with the opportunity to make Hyperhouse go worldwide on Beats 1. On top of curating a weekly radio show she manages to dominate her other endeavors like taking her Hyperhouse show on tour with her friend DJ's playing shows all over the US, still touring on her own, producing songs, and scoping out new tracks. I wonder to myself how she does it all.
